Learn how to adjust the speed of your clips in Final Cut Pro X.

In this quick lesson you will learn how to:

  • Create basic speed adjustments on an entire clips
  • How to adjust the speed of a portion/selection of a clip
  • How to reverse a clip
  • How to ramp the speed of a clip
  • How to ramp clip selections
  • How to create a freeze frame

We will also look at advanced features like optical flow that enable Final Cut Pro X to apply complex algorithms to improve the speed adjustments you create on a clip.

We went to visit the Maker 2015 event at Regent Library in Regina on Saturday 6th December and found some awesome things on show. This included some Little Bits kits and musical work on iPads at the University of Regina’s Creative Technologies stand ( www.regina.ca ), the awesome new 3D printer that is available for public use in Regina’s public libraries ( reginalibrary.ca/printing/ ), puppet making by Rowan Pantel with the Prairie Puppet Underground ( prairiepuppetunderground.com ), the Society for Creative Anachronism and SLUG the Saskatchewan Lego Users Group.
