Friday nights are the night for tripod repair are they not?
I had the same experience with my Magnus VT-4000 as demonstrated in the video below – a Pan Lock that bumps into the tripod legs. It was pretty easy to repair.
You can pop of the sticker for the Pan that says lock. There is a phillips screw underneath. Loosen that & pull off the lock button/lever carefully but firmly. There are teeth inside it that hold it in place so you don’t want to force it off but a firm clean pull did the job for me.
You can then reposition it and screw it back in place. I’m sure the sticker won’t last forever but it went back on after this first repair for me.
