Digital Footprint
What is a digital footprint?
This can mean a variety of things but from the perspective of a professional it is essential the digital trail you have left on the internet over the years that you have used it. This can be visible or invisible content. Content on sites such as facebook is often visible by default.
Different Types of Footprint
“There are two main classifications for digital footprints: passive and active. A passive digital footprint is created when data is collected without the owner knowing, where as active digital footprints are created when personal data is released deliberately by a user for the purpose of sharing information about oneself by means of websites or social media.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_footprint
