A little about me.
My name is Ben and I have been working with Apple Macs for over 15 years now as a professional designer, video editor and software trainer. This means I have a lot of useful tips and tricks that I can share with you to help you get the most out of your Mac, iPhone and applications.
Whether you know someone that would like to know more about the Mac OS X operating system, learn how to manage their files better, get expert tips for organising e-mail, working with Microsoft Office on the Mac or needs training for video editing with iMovie or professional applications like Final Cut Pro X then there are lots of topics that can be planned into a session.
Each session will be customised.
In order to make the most of the training session it is best to focus on some key topics. You can take a look at the courses I offer to get an idea of what could be covered. Also, before arranging each lesson I will take the time to discuss the topics that will be covered with the person receiving the gift.
Each session can be scheduled at a time to suit the recipients schedule.
I am based in Regina but am also happy to arrange and deliver training via Skype or Google Hangouts.
Arranging Extra Sessions & Support
I work in Regina, Saskatchewan as a freelance trainer and designer so I will also be available for further training sessions. I am always happy to arrange one-to-one consultancies or to teach small or large groups.
This problem is a strange one. I was just finishing up some editing today and my audio, that had no obvious problems before, had some crackle. The distortion was much like the crackling you get with clipping from a microphone recording on a windy day.
I tried the terminal “sudo killall coreaudiod” that Tim mentions and it worked but the crackle came back. A restart seemed to fix things.
I’m not sure why this problem popped up. If anyone has experienced anything similar I’d like to find out if its something other Final Cut Pro X editors have stumbled across.
These late night problems can often throw even the most experienced of us when we’re chopping a way to a deadline. Anyway, I hope Tim’s article helps.
In this tutorial I share some tips and tricks for working with markers in Final Cut Pro X. From creation to labelling and using markers for exporting sections of video I show you how I manage some of my longer form tutorials that I publish on the web-site Skillshare & Curious.
