Let Video Bring your Business to Life

If you are planning to start your own YouTube channel or looking to promote your business on Facebook and other social media platforms the technical and creative aspects of getting your message online can be overwhelming.

I can help to guide you through the ins and outs of how to make the best of the technology you already own. Using the smart phone, tablet or laptop that you already own coupled with some smart upgrades can help to save you money on expensive video equipment.

By creating video yourself you will be able to tell the story of your business, how you interact with clients and develop a professional online presence whilst at the same time bypassing expensive video production costs.

What I bring to the table

I have a wealth of technical and creative experience that I have gained from 15+ years of working as a designer, videographer and teacher both in Canada and the UK.

I am a patient teacher and working together I will guide you through those sticky technical points that can sometimes cause days of headaches. I will also bring creative ideas that will help you to tell your story in more interesting ways.

Video Production & Creativity

Half the battle when working with video is mastering the equipment you already own and harnessing its full potential. Thinking creatively about how you use this equipment and smartly about where you upgrade and spend money is an area where I can really help you.

Video Editing

I work with clients using everything from Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, iMovie, Premiere Elements and a number of other video editing pieces of software. The software and hardware you will need to edit well is another area where I can advise on where your existing Windows PC or Apple Mac is going to cut it. Thinking in smart ways about where you improve the hardware is very important when everyone is trying to sell you the latest gadget.

What equipment do you need?

I would normally recommend we begin by establishing if the equipment you currently own will meet your technical requirements before spending anything on new equipment. We can discuss what you aim to achieve and the most cost effective way to make use of equipment you may already own.

My Clients

I have worked with clients from a range of industries including the following:

  • Realtors wanting to use video to enhance their services
  • Government departments wanting to do more in house
  • stanCharities expanding the skill set of their communications teams
  • Small businesses looking to promote themselves more effectively online
  • Photographers wanting to adapt their skills in video
  • Teachers who want to bring more video into the classroom

The common connection between all of these clients is that they are looking to become creators of their own content. Rather than outsourcing their video they want to enable themselves to tell their own stories through video. This also in turn helps them to save money in the long run.

Where I work

I am based in Regina but regularly travel to Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Winnipeg & Ottawa to deliver training. Just get in touch for a competitive quote.
