Below is a question I’m helping out with about the lack of Text & Font editing in the Scrolling title in FCPX. The original thread can be seen on my video Final Cut Pro X: Create A Credit Roll (Scrolling Credits) .
The question:
Hi Ben, for some reason i don’t get the text editing options in the inspector for scrolling credit title. I get the box where you can select the 2d or 3D styles, then the text box beneath that. But I don’t get the ‘basic’ options underneath such as font, size etc. Have tried everything, including opening a new project, and I get these controls showing in the inspector for every other Fcp x title. Was beginning to think Fcp wouldn’t allow the scrolling credit text to be edited until I saw your video. Any ideas?
